MCC Bank has introduced several innovative HRD initiatives aimed at the overall development of its employees, and one such initiative is training. In today’s competitive market, training and knowledge-sharing across all areas of banking are crucial.
In this regard, a full-day intensive training/workshop on Credit Management was organized on 28th June 2025 at the MCC Bank Training Centre in Mangalore. The workshop was conducted for selected employees of the Bank.

The session was inaugurated by the Chairman of the MCC Bank Sahakara Ratna Shri Anil Lobo with the traditional lighting of the lamp. Credit Advisor Shri Maxim Castelino and General Manager Shri Sunil Menezes were also present.

While addressing the participants, Chairman emphasized the need for having adequate knowledge about loans and advances as proper lending will increase the profit and help in the progress of the Bank. He said that Branch Managers and Credit Officers should be able to explain the borrowers and make them aware the requirements/terms of loans to ensure timely repayment of loans. He further said that the employees who are being trained should in turn train other employees in loans and advances so that we can ensure efficient delivery of loans and customer service at the branches.

Mr Maxim Castelino, Ex Chief Manager of Canara Bank and Credit Advisor of MCC Bank, conducted the workshop. He explained in detail how to communicate with intending borrowers, to get required information, to assess pros and cons of the loan proposal, the common requirements for all loans, pre sanction and post sanction, importance of loan documents, recovery and follow up. In nutshell the participants were enriched with topic ‘Credit Management, i.e. understanding the proposal, processing, sanctioning and recovery of loans.

The interactive session was conducted by the General Manager, Mr Sunil Menezes who shared his inputs during the work shop. All the participants actively participated in the workshop and shared their opinion.
