In a commendable gesture of social responsibility, MCC Bank distributed school books to underprivileged students during an event at Nirmala High School, Brahmavar, on 12.06.2025. The initiative reflects the Bank’s continued commitment to community welfare and educational support. 

The program commenced with a warm welcome by Ms. Teena Lasrado, a dedicated teacher at the school. 

The event was graced by the Chairman of MCC Bank, Sahakara Ratna Mr. Anil Lobo, along with Bank Directors Mr. Elroy Kiran Crasto, Dr. Gerald Pinto, and Mr. Ovin Rebello, the Branch Manager of MCC Bank’s Brahmavar branch. 

During the ceremony, essential school books were distributed to deserving students, bringing smiles and hope to many young faces. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Anil Lobo expressed his happiness in engaging with the enthusiastic students and lauded the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity for providing a nurturing educational environment. He acknowledged their support to the Bank and reaffirmed MCC Bank’s mission to support education for the underprivileged. 

Mr. Anil Lobo emphasized the importance of perseverance and self-belief, encouraging students to work hard and keep faith in their future. He urged them to remember the values of gratitude and service, encouraging them to extend help to others just as they were helped today. He also praised Directors Mr. Elroy Kiran Crasto and Dr. Gerald Pinto for their initiative in extending support to schools across the Udupi district. Furthermore, he instructed the Brahmavar branch to arrange sweets for students on Children’s Day, adding a touch of joy to future celebrations. 

The Headmistress, Sr. Flavia Felci Pinto, felicitated Mr. Anil Lobo and extended heartfelt gratitude to MCC Bank for its noble act. In her address, she emphasized the importance of the three D’s — Discipline, Dedication, and Determination — as key elements in personality development. She also appreciated the services rendered by the Brahmavar Branch. 

The event was compered by Ms. Violet Rebello, another committed educator at the school.
